A leading organisation in the competitive recruitment market needed timely and accurate data on active job openings to engage effectively with clients and identify market trends.

The existing process was a significant operational bottleneck. It involved team members manually searching various job market sources, copy-pasting unstructured job advert text, and attempting to standardise the information for internal and external reports.

This manual effort was:

  • Time-Consuming: It diverted hours of valuable sales time away from client engagement and into low-value data collection.
  • Inconsistent: The manually gathered data was often inconsistent and prone to human error.
  • Slow: By the time reports were compiled, the market intelligence was already hours or days old, reducing its strategic value.

They needed a way to automate this entire workflow, transforming a slow, manual task into a fast, reliable source of strategic advantage.

Our Solution: The Automated Jobs Reporting Tool

Blueberry designed and developed a bespoke, end-to-end AI-based reporting tool. The solution was built to be robust, reliable, and completely hands-off.

The automated workflow operates on a custom schedule:

1.  Automated Data Retrieval:
The system allows the user to set up multiple jobs that query the Job Market Insights API using parameters (Job Title, Job Location) set independently by system administrators.

2. AI-Powered Data Extraction:
This is the core of the solution. The unstructured text from each job advert is sent to a Large Language Model (the ChatGPT API), which intelligently reads and parses the content to extract key, structured data points, including:

  • The direct Employer
  • The recruiting Agency (if any)
  • Shift details and pay rates
  • Key benefits offered
  • Employment type (Permanent/Temporary)

3. Automated Report Generation & Delivery:
The newly structured data is then compiled into professional reports (in both Excel and PDF formats) tailored for two distinct audiences—an in-depth version for the internal sales team and a summary version for external clients. These reports can then be:

  • Automatically emailed to the correct distribution lists
  • Downloaded by the user

4. Dynamic Location Configuration:
The locations available in the tool for job searches are dynamically updated based on those available from the JMI API.
