Who We Are
Blueberry Consultants is a private limited custom software development company, formed in early 1997 by the current Managing Director, Martin Green. Blueberry has been a Microsoft Gold Partner for a number of years – which represents the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies – as well as an Amazon Web Services specialist.
Our Development Team
We’re justifiably proud of the team we’ve assembled. Initially numbering just two programmers, Blueberry has grown steadily and now has over 50 full-time developers.
The Blueberry team is made up of highly-qualified, talented and innovative IT professionals each with their own area of expertise. Their experience spans the full range of custom software development, from small entrepreneurial projects to complex systems for major corporations.

We’re frequently told by clients that we’re really nice people… easy to get along with… a joy to work with. This is exactly what we hoped for when Blueberry was first formed in 1997. Our staff have been with us a long time, some from the very beginning, and we enjoy working in partnership with our clients.

Martin Green - CEO

Qualifications: 1st Class BSc. in Software Engineering
Location: HQ Birmingham
Martin Green founded Blueberry Consultants in 1997. Software development – and the creation of new products and companies – has been central to Martin’s life and career. He started programming on small microcomputers while at school, and after University established a game development company, ATD, which employed 35 people by the time he left to start Blueberry. Martin has been directly involved in the creation of three other start-up companies, and has been a director of two other UK technology companies. Martin believes that quality software development can make people’s lives easier, and takes a passionate interest in all Blueberry projects.
Duncan Forsyth – Quality Assurance Manager
Joined Blueberry: 2003
Qualifications: BSc in Computer Science, University of Warwick
Duncan Forsyth has worked for Blueberry since 2003, and has been responsible for many key Blueberry projects. Duncan’s background is in C development – an area where he is regarded as something of a Guru within the company. Duncan’s very interested in software engineering best-practice, and how projects can be run more efficiently.
Carl Smith – Product Manager

Carl has over twenty years’ experience working in digital media and online projects and has worked for companies in a variety of industries, both for media agencies and on client side. Companies of note include Halfords, BBC Worldwide, Sky Sports, Pendragon and Richard Rogers Partnership. Roles have included web and app project management, managing a digital team and developing their processes, working with clients to build digital strategies to support the growth of products or services. Away from work, he enjoys family time, with three children to entertain. He is also a keen follower of football and cricket.
Phil Turner – Senior Software Designer
Joined Blueberry: 2009 Qualifications: HND Electrical Engineering Location: HQ BirminghamPhil Turner has a professional career in software development spanning more than 25 years, mainly in real-time SCADA environments. His experience extends across many industries, most notably automotive, steel, gas, water, and glass. Phil has been involved in a number of projects for Blueberry since 2009, including a major bed management system for the healthcare sector. His big passion is photography, producing many successful and well received images at his local camera club.
Dr. Jonathan Allan - Project Manager

Qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, BSc (Hons) degree in Combined Science
Location: HQ Birmingham
Jonathan Allan has a PhD in Computer Science and a BSc (Hons) degree in Combined Science: Computing with Chemistry from Nottingham Trent University. Jonathan has 12 years’ previous experience working with online projects within the oil and gas industry, developing software to collect and process geophysical data. The work allowed him to work with teams all around the world, including four years working in Calgary, Canada. Jonathan has been involved in several interesting projects for Blueberry, including a process management application for a current F1 team racing team, a claims reconciliation for pharmacies in Ireland, and a portal for monitoring health and safety of service users within hospitals. Jonathan is now settled in Birmingham and enjoys spending time with his wife and his three children, who are growing up fast!
Paul Hannon – Project Manager

(1st Class Hons) in Computer Science Location: HQ BirminghamPaul has a 1st Class degree in Computer Science and brings with him an extensive skill-set, having previously worked as an Analyst Programmer for Fujitsu, and before that in a variety of roles that included Software Engineer, Lead Analyst Programmer and Senior Developer.
Steve Moorse - Development Manager
Joined Blueberry: 2013 Qualifications: BA Hons, Chemical Engineering, Birmingham University Location: HQ BirminghamSteve Moorse has been involved in software development since starting as a junior programmer in 1987. The majority of his career has been managing the development of software for the Pensions and Insurance industry on both Microsoft and Java platforms. He has experience of using a variety of project management methodologies and has managed projects with multi-million pound budgets. He is a keen follower of a wide variety of sports, but particularly cricket. One Interesting fact about Steve is that he attended the same school in Uganda as two of Idi Amin’s children!
Marc Read - Technical Project Manager

(Hons) in Physics, University of Bradford Location: HQ BirminghamSince graduating, Marc has worked in a variety of business sectors, ranging from insurance to law, and become familiar with a variety of technologies, from VB6 through to ASP.NET MVC. His first job was working for the Health and Safety Executive, where his first development project involved writing a Fortran program! In his spare time Marc and his wife are involved in a small local church where they help run a weekly youth group for 7 to 13 year olds and also help organise meetings and other activities.
James Peel - Development Project Manager

(Hons) in Computer Science, University of Liverpool Location: HQ BirminghamJames Peel has over twenty years’ experience in IT project management, incorporating: IT infrastructure, product development and bespoke software projects. He has worked for several successful start-ups and has spent time in Europe and USA. Industry experience includes: Accounting, Banking, Ecommerce, Education, Financial Services, Government, Healthcare, IT, Media and Telecommunications. James is a certified PRINCE 2 Practitioner and he is experienced with Agile project methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban. Outside of work James is usually busy with sailing, travel or music.
Dhruvesh Patel - Project Manager
Joined Blueberry: 2012 Qualifications: MBA – Masters of Business Administration, BSc – Information Technology [1st Class], BSc – Computer Science [2nd] Location: HQ BirminghamDhruvesh Patel has previously worked as a lead technical consultant for a US-based search solutions provider, specialising within accounts automation. Before this, he’d spent a number of years as a solutions analyst for Citigroup UK, where he’d initially started off as a C# .NET Developer, then progressing onto business systems analysis and project management. Dhruvesh will be very much engaged with project management duties at Blueberry, in particular the design, planning and implementation of software development projects for clients, as well as dealing with a range of technical & support issues. His interests include competitive sports, such as occasional 5-a-side indoor football, pool, go-karting and cricket.
Raspal Chima – Marketing Manager
Joined Blueberry: 2006 Qualifications: BSc. in Physics Location: HQ BirminghamRaspal Chima has the job of developing Blueberry’s websites and marketing the company to the world – and he’s also centrally involved in the marketing of Blueberry Software products. Previously, he’s worked for a number of blue-chip companies – including Honeywell, Wacker Chemie AG, and global advertising agency, McCann Erickson (managing PR for household names, Coca-cola, British Steel and WD40). Raspal also has a keen interest in writing – his more recent work includes a stint as a features editor for a magazine publishing company and writing two fiction novels. The books, by the way, are available to buy, if you look hard enough on the Web!
Julie Ebbitt – Financial Controller
Joined Blueberry: 2015 Qualifications: Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA); Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA); Fellow of the Association of Accounting Technicians (FMAAT) Location: HQ BirminghamJulie joined Blueberry in 2015 and is responsible for the finance functions for Blueberry Consultants, Blueberry Systems and Blueberry Software. Julie has spent more than half of her career working in the Pharmaceutical R& D/ Biotech sector, working with spinouts, start-ups, owner managed private limited companies and a NASDAQ listed Biotech. Outside of work life revolves round her family and any spare time is usually spent reading.
Liubov Green – Head of Human Resources
Joined Blueberry: 2011 Qualifications: MA in Applied Linguistics, University of Birmingham Location: HQ BirminghamLiubov Green graduated with an MA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Birmingham. She is a registered member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists in London, and the Institute of Interpreters and Translators. Her passion is languages and she’s an avid reader of classics and historical books. Luba is responsible for handling HR issues at Blueberry – including recruiting, liaising with universities and academic departments, attending graduate recruitment fairs, and dealing with staff queries regarding employment. In addition she has overall responsibility for staff induction, employment contracts, performance reviews as well as designing and implementing Blueberry HR policies and procedures.
Tanya Terret - QC Manager of Blueberry Group

Tanya joined Blueberry as an experienced Quality Control Engineer and now heads up our Testing Centre of Excellence. Key innovations under her leadership include structured training for the Quality Control team, the adoption of automated tools, the development of test case management practices, and the adoption of data security as a key area of interest for the team.
