Research

We are passionate about research into software development, not just as a sideline but as a central reason for the existence of our company.

Blueberry's Managing Director spends a lot of his time reading computing journals and evaluating new commercial products, looking for the elusive “better way” to develop software. He works with the Research Manager on Blueberry's central research project, which aims to integrate some of the latest software technology (RAD GUI-building tools, OO databases and modern scripting languages) to make a completely new system for developing powerful Windows software.

The Research Manager also leads a computer programming team that works on internal projects (e.g. a new distributed configuration management system for the company). He is currently supervising five postgraduate students at Birmingham University whose work is of particular interest to Blueberry.
